Thank you for using our application MixMix. We are committed to protecting your privacy and will comply with applicable privacy laws and regulations. This privacy policy is designed to help you understand how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your information, including any biometric data.

2. Information We Collect

When you use MixMix, we may collect the following types of information:

2.1 Personal Information

This includes your name, email address, phone number, and other identifying information that you provide when registering or using the app's features.

2.2 Chat Records

We will record the content of your conversations with the AI to improve service quality and user experience, particularly in learning, entertainment, and daily life aspects.

2.3 Usage Data

This includes your device information (such as device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers), app usage patterns, access times, and preferences, which help us analyze and optimize app performance.

2.4 Camera and Microphone Data

We access your device's camera and microphone solely for the purpose of live streaming and video/voice calls. Video and audio streams are transmitted in real-time through our third-party real-time communication service provider and are not recorded or stored on our servers after the live session or call ends. We do not perform any facial recognition, facial feature extraction, or facial geometry analysis on video streams during live streaming or video calls.

2.5 Facial Data (Streamer Verification Only)

If you apply for streamer verification, we may collect facial imagery through a live video verification process to confirm your identity. This section explains in detail how we handle such data:

• What facial data we collect: During the streamer verification process, we capture facial imagery (a photo or short video of your face) to match against the identity document (such as ID card or passport) you have submitted. We do not create or store facial geometry maps, faceprints, or any mathematical representations of facial features.
• How we use facial data: Facial imagery is used exclusively for the purpose of identity verification — confirming that the person applying for streamer status matches the identity documents provided. It is not used for any other purpose, including but not limited to advertising, user profiling, emotion analysis, or tracking.
• Third-party sharing: Facial imagery may be transmitted to our authorized identity verification service provider solely for the purpose of performing the identity match. This provider is contractually obligated to delete the data after processing. No facial data is shared with any other third parties.
• Storage and retention: Facial verification imagery is stored on secure servers and retained only for the duration necessary to complete the verification review. Once the verification decision has been made, facial imagery is securely deleted within 30 days. If your verification application is denied and you wish to reapply, a new image capture will be required.
• Who is affected: Only users who voluntarily apply for streamer verification are subject to facial data collection. Regular users who do not apply for streamer verification are not required to provide any facial data.

2.6 User-Generated Content

When you post content such as text, images, or videos in the community section, or send messages in chat rooms and live stream rooms, this content is stored on our servers to provide the service. You may delete your own content at any time, and we will remove it from our active systems within a reasonable timeframe.

2.7 Photo Library

With your permission, we access your photo library to allow you to upload images for community posts, set profile pictures, or share media. We only access the specific photos you select and do not scan or analyze your entire photo library.

3. Use of Information

We may use your information for the following purposes:

• To provide, maintain, and improve the various functionalities and services of MixMix, including social interactions, live streaming, AI chat, and community features.
• To verify the identity of streamer applicants (using facial data as described in Section 2.5).
• To personalize your user experience and recommend relevant content.
• To analyze usage data to optimize app performance and user experience.
• To communicate with you and respond to your inquiries, feedback, and suggestions.
• To ensure the security of the app, moderate content, and prevent fraudulent or abusive activities.
• To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties, except in the following circumstances:

• You explicitly consent to sharing.
• We are required by law, regulation, or legal process to provide the information.
• We share it with our service providers who assist in operating our services, subject to strict contractual obligations regarding data protection.

4.1 Third-Party Service Providers

We use the following categories of third-party services that may process your data in the course of providing their services to us:

• Real-time communication: Shengwang/Agora — for live streaming and video/voice call transmission.
• Instant messaging: Huanxin/Hyphenate — for in-app chat and messaging functionality.
• Cloud storage and CDN: Qiniu — for media file uploads and delivery.
• Analytics and crash reporting: Bugly, Sentry — for monitoring app stability and diagnosing technical issues.
• Social login (optional): Facebook, TikTok — if you choose to log in via these platforms, they may receive basic profile information in accordance with their own privacy policies.
• Attribution and analytics: AppsFlyer — for measuring the effectiveness of marketing campaigns (no personal content data is shared).

These service providers are contractually required to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify.

5. Information Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure. These measures include encryption of data in transit, access controls, and regular security assessments. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or as required by applicable law. Specifically:

• Account data: Retained for the duration of your account's existence. You may request deletion at any time.
• Facial verification data: Deleted within 30 days after the verification decision is made (see Section 2.5).
• Chat records and user-generated content: Retained until you delete them or your account is terminated.
• Usage and analytics data: Retained in aggregated or anonymized form for up to 24 months.

7. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correction: You may request that we correct any inaccurate information.
• Deletion: You may request that we delete your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of MixMix after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
